Girls For A Change launched its first programming in Richmond, VA in October 2008 as part of our National Tour. In four days, more than 1,000 girls in Richmond participated in Change Your World Trainings, learning about social change and how to take action in their communities. Since then, in partnership with Communities In Schools of Richmond, Richmond Public Schools, Camp Diva, and the City of Richmond Truancy Program, hundreds more have received after-school programming. In 2011, Girls For A Change is proud to partner with Camp Diva, a Richmond-based organization that has provided services to Richmond girls since 2003. In Richmond, Girls For A Change and Camp Diva will provide after-school and summer programming for hundreds of girls per year.
