Introduction

          GFAC nonprofit youth development organization formed in 2000 to empower black girls and other girls of color visualize their bright futures and potential through discovery, development, and social change innovation in their communities.

Scope of Services

Girls For A Change is seeking the services of a van transportation service to provide daily transportation of primary/secondary education girls from various education institutions within the Richmond metropolitan area to the Girls For A Change center (located at 100 Buford Road, Richmond, VA 23235).

The Request for Proposal timeline is as follows:

Request for RFP: November 2, 2018

Deadline for Bidders to Submit Questions: October 30, 2018

GFAC Responds to Bidder Questions: November 1, 2018

Contract Award / Notification to Unsuccessful Bidders: November 12 , 2018

Time and Place of Submission of Proposals

The RFP will be posted on our website, girlsforachange.org, and it will also be announced on GFAC FaceBook and LinkedIn social media sites.

Respondents to this RFP must submit their proposal electronically to info@girlsforachange.org. Responses must be received no later than 5 pm EST Tuesday, November 2 , 2018. Responses should be clearly marked “RFP-Van Transportation Services within the Subject Heading of the electronic submission.

Timeline

Girls For A Change needs the van transportation services for the remainder of the 2018-2019 school year (ending June 2019).

Elements of Proposal

A submission must, at a minimum, include the following elements:

  • Description of the firm that includes a general overview, names, and credentials of leadership, number of full-time employees.

  • A one-page narrative outlining the firm’s strengths and distinguishing skills or capabilities as they might relate to Girls for a Change.

  • Three (3) references name, title, phone number, address, and email address.

Evaluation Criteria

The successful respondent will:

  • Have been in operations for at least two (2) years providing similar services.

  • Have skilled, licensed and qualified drivers (with proof of criminal and child services background check).

  • Proven history of being reliable and providing excellent customer service.

  • Competitive cost of services
