ATL Team Launch and Latest News
The GEMS and Jewels Empowerment Group kicked off their season with an event for girls and parents. The team will have its first meeting in mid February. GEMS Co-Founder and GFC Coach, Kara said about the GFC partnership, "I feel that by working with girls in our group and empowering them in many areas, we are tackling the root cause of low self esteem – of which I personally suffered from as a young teen girl."
As part of the kick off event, Jess Weiner donated books to girls who attended. She also featured the GEMS and Jewels program and their partnership with GFC on her website. Check it out here!
GFC Atlanta - First Team Meeting!
The first GFC Atlanta team, launched through a partnership with G.E.M.S. and Jewels Empowerment Group, will kick off on Saturday January 30! You can see the announcement here.
GFC Atlanta's event will feature a guest speaker who is creating change. Alana Jones, the 13-year old co-founder of Sunkissed Girlz, will share her story about creating a new online community for girls. Check out Sunkissed Girlz and the work they are doing along with their blog about GFC Atlanta.

GFC is teaming up with Jewels & G.E.M.S Empowerment Group for girls to launch our first team in Atlanta! In partnership with Kara Norman and Adriane Simmons, the GFC Girl Action Team will begin in January 2010.
