The Girl Action Zones on the National Tour are proving to be a huge
sucess. Girl Action Zones are interactive gatherings where girls and
women learn about social change and the power they have to create it.
Girls and women will discover their inner social change agent and their
inner beauty at participating SEPHORA stores throughout the country.
These 3 hour events inside the Sephora stores will include
opportunities to discover what social change means, brainstorm what
issues are important to women and girls and learn about ways GFC can
support girls and women in creating change. GFC representatives will be
on hand to guide girls and women through this process. There will also
be an opportunity to sign up for GFC’s Action Network and be part of a
network of women and girls throughout the world who are working on
change projects. In addition, girls and women will have the chance to
share what they are passionate about and how they want to address the
issue they want to change by creating photo and video diaries that will
be posted online on GFC’s Action Network.
The first GAZ was held at the Sephora store on Powell Street in San Francisco. Tonight and tomorrow there will be a GAZ at the Sephora store in the Beverly Center in Los Angeles.
